About the role

As Sustainability Manager at CAIA, you will be the internal lead for our sustainability work – owning the strategy, execution, and reporting across the business. You will work cross-functionally with teams such as Product Development, Operations, Finance, and Packaging to ensure our impact is managed responsibly, while also building the structures that support future growth.

This is a hybrid role that requires both big-picture thinking and hands-on execution. You will lead strategic initiatives like our sustainability roadmap, regulatory compliance (CSRD/ESRS), and packaging improvements – while also making sure we have the right data, tools, and engagement in place internally.

You will report to the Chief Product & Supply Chain Officer (CPSO) and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to align our sustainability agenda with commercial goals, customer expectations, and regulatory demands.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Direction

- Own and develop CAIA’s overarching sustainability roadmap

- Translate strategy into clear guidelines, plans, and internal processes

- Identify and prioritize improvement areas across product, packaging, logistics, and supply chain

Reporting & Compliance

- Ensure timely, audit-ready sustainability reporting (e.g. CSRD, ESRS)

- Build scalable data structures and traceability across the business

- Work closely with Finance and Legal to meet regulatory requirements

Project Leadership & Execution

- Lead and deliver cross-functional projects (e.g. packaging roadmap, emissions mapping, supplier evaluations)

- Coordinate internal teams to secure timely input and alignment

- Track progress against key KPIs and report on results

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Act as the go-to expert in sustainability across the company

- Engage with external partners, suppliers, and networks

- Support the Brand and Comms team with fact-based storytelling and transparency

Essential Experiences & Qualifications

- Proven experience working with sustainability strategy and regulatory frameworks (e.g. CSRD, ESRS, GHG Protocol)

- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives

- Experience working with product or supply chain-related sustainability topics (e.g. packaging, sourcing, logistics)

- Analytical mindset and ability to translate data into clear insights and actions

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Commercial understanding and the ability to balance sustainability with brand and business goals

- A hands-on, self-led way of working – thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

Fluency in English is required. Previous experience in the beauty, fashion, or consumer goods industry is a plus.
